Team Leader (Registered Nurse)

Qualifications:

• As the ideal candidate you are a (Team Leader) Registered Nurse with over five years experience, preferably with a Baccalaureate degree and/or Diploma in Nursing or evidence of working towards.
• You are experienced in providing education relating to disease and treatment protocol to patients.
• You have an attention to detail and efficient time management skills, communication skills and proven problem solving and organizational skills.
• You are flexible and you are able to use your resources well.
• You are able to work under minimal direction and have demonstrated your initiative and ability to be self directed as well as an effective team player.

• You are committed to continuous learning, improvement and evidence-based practice.
• Previous exposure or experience working in a pharmaceutical environment an asset.

Duties :

• Acts as a communication liaison between members of the team and staff external to the unit.
• Five years experience including two years relevant clinical experience.
• Commitment to the professional and organizational vision as it pertains to clinical practice and patient care.
• Acting as a resource and role model, including mentoring/coaching staff
• Promoting and supporting a positive working relationship, effective team building and functioning with all staff
• Providing and receiving constructive feedback
• Identifying and problem solving potential risk issues
• The successful person will also take on the role of Facilitating Nurse. In this role you will be accountable for the day-to-day clinical coordination activities related to the care of patients in the Clinic.
• In collaboration with the Clinical Manager, the successful applicant will assess and plan daily staffing, workload assignments, patient flow activity and clinical care.
